Replenished Part

A strategically managed component in DDMRP that uses a buffer with three dynamic zones (Red, Yellow, and Green) for planning and execution. The buffer zones are sized based on buffer profiles and part-specific attributes such as Average Daily Usage (ADU) and Decoupled Lead Time (DLT). © Copyright 2025 Demand Driven Institute. Why is it useful?

The replenished parts use a dynamic system that ensures inventory is replenished based on actual demand, rather than static forecasts.

Traditional inventory planning often leads to overstocking or shortages since they suffer from the differences between the forecasted and real demands. ForgeFlow Cloud ERP ensures that Replenished Buffers are dynamically adjusted, using real Average Daily Usage and Decoupled Lead Time calculations. This keeps inventory levels optimized, replenishing stock only when needed based on actual demand, and reducing excess while ensuring availability for smooth operations.
