Reordering Rules

Predefined conditions that determine when and how much stock should be replenished to maintain optimal inventory levels. © Copyright 2025 Demand Driven Institute. Used with permission.

How are they established?

In traditional replenishment systems, Reordering Rules are often based on static minimum and maximum stock levels. In DDMRP, however, replenishment is dynamically driven by buffer levels, ensuring that stock is ordered based on actual demand rather than fixed reorder points.

Static Reordering Rules can lead to inefficiencies in inventory management. ForgeFlow Cloud ERP’s DDMRP system replaces outdated reorder points with dynamic buffer-driven replenishment, ensuring stock is replenished based on real demand and buffer status. This prevents shortages and excess inventory while keeping your supply chain agile and responsive.
